Asking guests to wear all white to destination beach wedding
My fiance" and I are getting married in Grand Cayman next December. I recently had a vision of an all white wedding- bridesmaids in all white with like pink sashes and the groomsmen in white shirts and light tan pants. I'm also asking our guests- which will be mostly close family and friends to also consider wearing all white. Is this wrong? The wedding is outdoors on the beach at which time we'll be taking group pics with the ocean as our backdrop- i just keep seeing this white before the ocean with little touches of pink but my mother says that this is taboo and that asking the guests to wear white will take the attention away from me. What do you think? thanks

Re: [kysma03] all white wedding? is it a no no?

It's not so much a question of right or wrong here, but, more of a consideration of your guests' comfort. They may not have anything all white or don't like to wear white and there may be some who will just disregard what you ask. So, you may not get the outcome you're expecting. After all, you wonlt be able to say, you cannot come to the wedding unless you're all in white, right? Plus, having everyone in white sort of takes away from the bride.

I agree. The destination you have chosen is known for it's color and your guests will want to celebrate the location as well as the occasion. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
