Help! My fiance and I are getting married in Florida next summer (we live in California) and we just found out (yesterday) from the reception site that they were advised it will be up to two years before they will have any access to the beach due to all the hurricanes they've had. My problem is we just sent out "Save the Date" cards last week! We really wanted to get married on the Beach at that place but it looks like we are going to have to change locations (were still going to be in Florida) how do I go about announcing this to the guests tastefullY?

Dear Change of Location,
Even though you are still going to be in Florida, as of now you are not sure where. My first thought is for you to personally call each person. This could be time consuming, but you would be able to tell each person that you will contact them again in the future about the exact place.
My second choice would be to wait until you know exactly where you will be and then send another card with the exact location so your guests can make their travel arrangements, as long as this process doesn't take too much time. Some guests may try to find the perfect air fare now--problem.
The best choice: take a couple of days to look for a place close to your preferred location. If you can find another very close that you can use, then you have no problem. You would simply put the new address on your invitations. However, if you cannot find a place soon, please let your guest know that you are not sure of the place.
These things happen all of the time, so there is no problem contacting your guests about it. Everyone will understand.
