     Destination Reception Advice Needed

Hello,

We are having a destination wedding in Florida this September. We would like to have our reception on a catamaran for a sunset cruise. The problem is, the boat can only fit up to 45 people, and we will most likely have more guests than that. Is there any way to politely limit the amount of guests that are invited to the reception?

Thank you!

Everyone invited to the ceremony should be invited to the reception so limit your ceremony guest list to 45. You couldn't possibly ask people to travel to a destination, attend the gift giving portion of the wedding which is the ceremony and then not treat them to the same reception the rest of the wedding guests will enjoy.
