Thanks for taking time to answer my question. I have been reading the different threads about destination wedding etiquette; however I have not been able to find an answer to my question. My fiance and I would prefer to have a small wedding of about 20 guests. We thought this small number would be ideal for a destination wedding. I know that our financial obligation is to pay for our atttendants. However, after that expense, we really only have 4 or 5 guests remaining that would be expected to pay their own way. Is it appropriate to have a destination wedding if not all the guests travel expenses will be covered? Is this an all-or-none situation with this small amount of guests? I would hate for our wedding to be a source of anyone's hurt feelings.
Thank you
Kristin

Kristin -
You are not responsible for travel expenses, just the lodging for the attendants.
