We went to the destination wedding of our son/daughter in law. The day of the wedding, we all entertained ourselves with massages/wine tours, etc. Now, we are being accused of not involving the bride. We assumed she had plans for hair, nails, etc. What should we have done?

Dear Lynne,
Guests aren't supposed to host the hosts. They were supposed to be the hosts. So, unless they had something planned for you and the other guests, you would have to fend for yourselves. This is what you did. So, it is they who have the problem and the misconception of what should have been done, not you.
