     Destination Wedding Invitation Wording

I am getting ready to send out Save-The Date invitations for the wedding reception and also Invitations to our wedding in St. John. I was wondering how to word our wedding invitations. My parents are going to pay for the reception back home for ALL of our famioy and friends. I am going to pay for the wedding ceremony and reception in St. John. Do I word the invitation like I would if my parents were hosting the wedding (Mr. and Mrs... request your prescence...) or is there another way since I am paying for it?

Dear JMT,

Just use the example of the couple hosting for the wedding invitations. You can use the traditional invitation for your second reception.

You didn't mention your fiance's involvement in this. He should be an equal payer in this. The bride and her parents are no longer the banker.

Best wishes,
