My daughter is getting married in Barbados in November. Is it proper to throw her a Bridal Shower here before the wedding? I feel the guests are spending enough to get to the island and should not be strapped with this added expepense, but she says "everyone gets a shower"! Please help!
Showers are all optional these days. However, someone other than a family member should offer to host the shower. Family members shouldn't host. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
I completely agree. Plus, only wedding guests are invited to these, but not all of the guests. With a destination wedding, fewer wedding guests are usually invited. So, the host would have fewer guests to invite. All of the wedding guests shouldn't have to give two wedding gifts. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
