     Destination wedding gifts

We are getting married in the Carribean in April. We feel that everyone who is joiniing us there for the week is spending lots of money to do so. We are older, don't need much and just want our wedding to be about sharing time with those we love. We really don't want gifts. I know, I know, we are not supposed to expect gifts, but we really don't want them. Their presence is our present sort of thing. It's not appropriate to put this on the invite, is it.....is there any way I can get the message out?? We do have a generous group of friends.....they probably wouldn't listen anyway! Crazy Any iinput is appreciated.
