     Destination wedding showers

I work with a couple that are having a destination wedding and of course we are not invited. Our office is very close to these folks and they are sticking with the rule of no shower if folks aren't invited. While I think this is admirable, we really want them (and us) to have the fun of a wedding shower. Aren't there any exceptions?
