Do we have to provide welcome baskets for destination wedding guests

My fiance and I are getting married in Las Vegas in September. We are wondering if it is necessary to provide welcome gift baskets for the guests? Please let us know what we should do. If we should do that, how extensive should it be?

Dear Asauline,

You are just obligated to do something nice for them for traveling. Baskets are nice, but so is a welcome cocktail. If you are having a reception, then you don't have to worry about giving anything else.

Best wishes,
