Does groomsman need to attend more than 2 days at destination wedding
I've been invited to a destination wedding as a groomsman in the caribbean for one of my good friends. While the groom has stated that he is paying for 2 nights in the hotel, he is consistently implying that he would like everyone to be there for additonal days (I think the father of the bride is hosting some sort of party or something although no formal invitation or direct information was given to me.) It goes even further, b/c I booked my tickets based on the save the date for the wedding, and after I spoke to him, he says that the wedding was moved up one day "because we got a better location on the resort and everyone will already be there". I am going to be able to rebook with minimal fees (14$), but I feel no obligation to be in the caribbean for more than the two nights that are covered by the groom. Am I being inconsiderate at all? I just don't feel like I agreed to do anything above be an attendant in the wedding which implies attending the rehearsal dinner and participating in wedding day activities in my mind. Thanks in advance,
-Aggravated Groomsman

Dear Aggravated Groomsman,
No you are not being anything but realistic. You are not under any obligation to alter your tickets (again) or pay for extra days based on the couple's plans. If they wanted their attendants to stay longer, they should have stated that upfront and paid for more days of lodging.
