Gifts for no guests/no reception destination wedding
We are going to Florida to be married on the beach and to have our honeymoon. It is going to just be my fiancee and I. There are no hard feelings by either my family nor his. This is a second marriage for both of us and our families couldn't be happier as both our first marriages were abusive. Anyhow, they all also know we can not afford a reception and are just planning a dinner for the immediate family. What is the etiquette on registering for gifts in this situation? Upon our return, we will be sending out wedding announcements, each with a power point presentation cd of the ceremony & travel photos to all family & friends.

Dear Clj,
You could register, but it isn't polite to post this information anywhere unless you have a wedding website--not on the first page though.
