We are getting married in my fiance's country, England. I have two tricky questions:
1) There are people who I KNOW will not able to attend, (i.e., friends and relatives who are elderly, and those who cannot afford it) Do I send them an invitation even though I know they can't attend?
2) We have already sent out our Save the Date cards for our April ceremony. There are some people who have responded to our Save the Date cards, saying they can't attend. Even though they said they can't come, do I still send them a formal invite?
In both situations, I am not sure if people will be insulted if I don't invite them formally. I also don't want to seem like I am fishing for a gift.
Sending announcements after the wedding is the best way to handle those who have express regrets and those you know would not be able to attend. They should be mailed as soon after the wedding as possible. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
