     Is this a destination wedding?

My fiancee is a kiwi that is a permanent resident here in the U.S. His family lives in New Zealand and we would like to have our wedding there so that his mother can attend. I have been there and met his family and some of them have visited here before. My family is not very close and it would not matter to them. This is a second wedding for both of us, it has been 18 years since the first one. Smile I do have friends that are willing to go to NZ to attend the wedding. My question is would this be considered a destination wedding with his family living there?

Dear Loveakiwi,

Yes, since you are living here and marrying there.

Please remember that you would be responsible for your attendants' lodging costs.

Best wishes,

I agree - it's a destination for you, which is what counts.
