My boyfriend and I are planning a destination wedding in Vegas. We want to keep it small so we have limited the guest list to 80 (40 each) with the notion that only 50%-60% will actually be able to come. Because we are trying to keep it small, some family and friends won't be invited. How do you do you keep the list small without hurting feelings, especially when people are expecting to get invites or when you invite some people in a group you are closer to and not the others?

Dear Gboulet,
Well, there really is no way to insure that some may not feel hurt. But, when some ask about the wedding, we usually say that we are keeping it very small. Most don't mention it afterwards.

I absolutely agree with Rebecca, you want to invite those closest to you. Send announcements to the others and hope that they respect your choices and your desire to keep it small and intimate. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
