Maui Destination Wedding Response Card Etiquette

Hello again!

Would it be terribly inappropriate for me to use the following verbage for our Wedding & Reception response cards??? Our wedding will be in Maui & the reception in our home town upon return. We are sending out a combo invitation for both the wedding & reception. I would like guests to know that children are welcome to attend the reception, but not the destination wedding on Maui. Any suggestions/thoughts?? Thank you so much!!

Dear MittenKitty,

I don't think this will work. We don't designate a function as adult only in this manner. It is done by writing the names on the envelope of the guests who are invited. Plus, you may have people who are not really invited to your wedding/reception attending because you have left that open.

It really would be better to have two invitations if you are inviting two sets of guests. The guest's names would be on the envelope. They are the only ones who are invited. If you had an inner envelope, even better because the children's names could be directly under the adult's for the reception.

Best wishes,
