Not including wedding date on destination wedding save the date cards
I’ve read the posts and I think I have everything correct, but I just want to make sure. Our wedding will be in Italy on November 29th. We are from Texas and Alabama and have friends and family in both states. We plan to send out save the date cards. I know that save the dates need to be sent out soon since our wedding is in 6 months. We would like to include on our save the date cards the dates of our receptions in Alabama and Texas. We plan to send these to everyone we would have invited to weddings in the states but plan to say the following:
We’re getting married…in Italy Date
Receptions to follow December 31st Venue, Auburn, AL January 17th Venue, Dallas, TX Website
Is it acceptable not to include our actual wedding date on the cards? We're sending out about 200 save the date cards and plan to follow those up with an equal number of invitations about 2 months prior. We really just want our guests to be aware of the two reception opportunities since they are both holidays. Our website will include all travel/accommodation information should they choose to come to any of the events including Italy. If you can let me know whether or not I need to include our actual date on the cards I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Dear Whitblitz,
The date is very important because this is what you are asking them to hold for you. Your guests will need to know the exact wedding date to make their plans.
If you want to just invite guests to the receptions, then you don't have to mention the wedding or the wedding date.
