Paying Lodging for officiant at destination wedding

HI,

I read through some of the posts but couldn't find anything that related to this, specifically. We are having a destination wedding. We do not have a bridal party, however, one of our friends is doing the ceremony. Should we pay for his lodging?

This is a gray area. But, if you are not paying him, it would be a nice gesture to pay for his lodging.
