Paying for bridal party accommodations for destination wedding

We are having a casual, low-budget wedding at a beach town about 300 miles from home. Our two attendants will be traveling with their families (spouse & 2 children each) and are planning to extend their stay to combine our wedding with a family vacation. Most of the accommodations in this area are rental homes or condos, there are very few hotels & the quality of hotels is questionable. We are willing to contribute to their lodging expenses but we can't afford to pay for a long stay in a beach house for each family. What are we responsible to pay and how do we word the offer? Can we rent one big house & invite them to stay with us? Thank you for your help!

Dear Susieq,

You are only responsible for two days lodging. So, you could offer to share a home. This is fine. The wording is personal and only you would be able to know how to offer, as you know them better than me. But, if it were me, I'd be direct and honest.

Best wishes,
