Paying for pastor's destination wedding plane ticket
We are hosting a destination wedding. I purchased our Pastor's airfare. In case she is unable to come, should she owe us? What if we are unable to proceed with the wedding; does she get to keep her ticket? What would be the appropriate thing to do?
Thanks

You've purchased the ticket - it belongs to you. If your pastor is unable to attend, you'll probably want to use that ticket for your replacement pastor. If the wedding is canceled, the ticket still belongs to you. But you'll have to call the airline and change the name on the ticket. Best to check that before hand with the airline.

You should pay for airfare and accommodations for your pastor. The ticket would have been purchased in the pastor's name and is most likely not transferrable. In that case the ticket could only be used by her. Check with your airline for the final word. Nancy Tucker President of Weddings Beautiful US http://www.weddingsbeautiful.com
