Would it be improper not to have a reception upon our return from our destination wedding for those who were unable to attend? My fiance and I are still debating this issue, and we do not want our guests to feel as if it is a "money grab", because we have already chosen to have our wedding out of the country and have already placed a hefty financial burden on those who have attended. HELP!

You can choose to have a reception or not - it is your personal decision. Note that the reception is not the gift-giving portion of the wedding (even though many do send a gift when attending just the reception) so the reception guests are not obligated to send a gift. Anyone who attended the destination wedding and gave a gift would not be required to give another gift. The reception is basically the couple's way of thanking their guests for attending the wedding.
