Registering for gifts for small destination wedding

Hello,

My fiance and I live in Hawaii and are getting married here with around 10 family members who are flying in from the mainland. Our family and friends who can't attend are asking if we are registered anywhere. We are both in our late 30's and feel we shouldn't register. Should we register? What should we tell everyone?

Thank you for your advice.

Dear Imickey,

There isn't anything wrong about registering, but you couldn't list it on invitations. When someone asks where you are registered, you could inform them at that time.

Best wishes,
