My fiance and I have begun looking into holding our wedding on a boat with limited space. We have prioritized our guests list according to the limited space as well as by who we are pretty sure would come. If after an initial round of save the date/invitation RSVP's we still had room on the boat(6 months in advance) is there a tactful way to invite additional guests?
Thanks!

Dear Jeffrey.hart,
Save the dates aren't supposed to be invitations and don't ask for an RSVP. You send your formal invitations closer to the date of the event. You have plenty of time to send invitations. These are sent about two months before the wedding. And, everyone who received a save the date is supposed to receive an invitation.

I apologize, I did not state my question clearly. I'm curious, if after receiving RSVP's, we have number of declined invitations, could we then send out a second round of invitations?
This is entirely because we are looking at a small space for the wedding.

As long as you still have at least six weeks before your wedding, it will be fine. We don't want our guests to think that they are second thoughts. Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
