     Sending Invitations

My fiance and I are getting married in Las Vegas. We have set the date for a reception a few weeks later. I know we should send out the invitations for the reception as soon as possible. There is only a few weeks between the wedding and the reception. Is it OK to send the reception invitations out before the wedding to ensure that the guests have enough notice?

Dear Sending,

Yes, it is proper and polite. Invitations should be mailed at least six weeks (if possible) before the event. So, please mail them.

Best wishes.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Black, Etiquette Now
