     Thailand wedding

Hi

We really wanted to marry in Thailand, we had the date set, the hotel booked and we awoke to the sad news on Boxing Day. Our hearts go out to everyone who has been affected by the tsunami. We thought we must change our plans and go somewhere else to get married, but it's been over a month now and nowhere seems to live up to our expectations of Thailand. We've been told that only 10% of the island has been affected and that we should not be put off getting married in Thailand. Afterall they rely on tourism and we would be helping out. What do you think? Do you think we could still enjoy a beautiful day knowing that there was devastation there? As someone has said, if there was tragedy in the South of England, would that mean that no-one should get married in Scotland! Have you married in Thailand recently. If so, what was it like and did you have to organise a lot at Bangkok? I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you in advance for your reply.

Hi,

How about Mauritius? The hotels are of a very good standard, the food is great and the beaches are beautiful.

I am half Mauritian so I'm biased! It was very fortunate Mauritius was not affected by the tsunami, it is so close to Seychelles.
