     Very complicated

I am in the middle of a very complicated situation. I am offically getting married in Japan in March, but I am having a second ceremony in Hawaii in June for my close family. I have many friends scattered over the states that I have lived in and I want to let them know that I am getting married. Obviously, I would not send invitations, should I send announcements before the wedding or after? How should I word the announcements? After the wedding I will be residing in Japan were sending out that many annoncements would not be feasible (very expensive and can take months to arrive). Can my mother send them for me? Thanks!

Dear very complicated,

Your announcements should be mailed right after your official wedding and I don't see why your mother can't mail them for you with your return address on them.
