If I had a destination wedding in Europe, where do the witnesses go? On one hand, it seems rude to have the wedding and then leave the witnesses to fend for themselves in a foreign country, I'd feel obligated to entertain them. O the other hand, when the wedding is done, the honeymoon starts, and we don't need any company.
I've searched the net for this, nobody seems to mention it on destination wedding/elopement sites.

Dear Boston,
You might want to reconsider inviting attendants, as you are obligated to pay for their lodging for at least two nights. But other than that, you are only obligated to meet them the day before (greet and make sure they know your plans for the wedding), offer them something (usually a reception, which is usually the same for your guests), and then they are on their own. It is best to discuss this with them before they agree to stand with you.
