What length should the bridesmaid dresses for a 2:00 pm ceremony
Hi Everyone,
This group is great and I am so glad I stumbled upon it! I am having my wedding in November in the Dominican Republic. My wedding dress is ivory and has lace details throughout the bodice. It is being made out of beaded chantilly lace and silk chiffon. It has a very flowy, romantic, beach goddess (it is hard to describe) look with a corset back. The woman making my dress recommended I find silk chiffon or silk organza bridesmaid dresses. I will only be having a MOH and one bridesmaid but I think the wedding will be semi-formal because my fiancé and all his groomsmen are wearing suits to our afternoon wedding at 2:00pm. The ceremony will be held in the gazebo and not on the beach. What length should the bridesmaid dresses be for a 2:00pm ceremony? Originally I thought tea length dresses would work best but then found full length bridesmaid dresses I love. Are full length dresses overly formal for a destination wedding though? Please help! I can't seem to decide. I would also love any recommendations on the colour for the bridesmaid dresses. I am currently considering a cobalt blue or very light purple.
Thanks for your help!
Laura

Dear Laura,
You could go with full length if the fabric isn't too formal. Tea length would probably be best though. But, it is the over-all formality that is the most important element. So, just make sure that it all works and is in the same formality. That said, it is typical for the bride to be a slight bit more formal--we ladies can't seem to help that.
I'm not sure about the colors. Both seem fine to me.
