Who Pays for Destination Wedding - Bride or Groom

My fiance and I are planning a destination wedding/honeymoon to Hawaii. This is the second marriage for both of us. It will only be the two of us going. He insists that he pay for everything. I insist that I should at least pay for the wedding ceremony. What is normal practice in this type of situation?

The couple usually make this decision together. It really doesn't make much difference if the bride or groom pays since you'll be married and pooling your funds.

If he wants to pay, and can afford to do, so, then let him. But if you have a need to pay a portion, then discuss those feelings together and come up with a plan that suots you both.

Good communication skills are the keys to a successful marriage.
