destination wedding save the dates - what information to include
Hi!
We are planning a 3 night stay in Cancun fall 08 and need to get a jump start on the invitation process. We have a very large guest list (200+), but realize only a small portion will be able to attend (approx 50 guests). I want to send save the date magnets out very soon. Since all guests attending must have a passport, I plan to include a unique "passport reminder." I realize there is a lot of information that needs to be sent in the invitation (travel agent info, cost of pkgs., payment deadlines, RSVP cards, etc.). However, I am unsure of what to include and when to send the details.
Should I include a brief informal overview of what we are planning along with the save the date magnets?

Dear Ashley,
This isn't an invitation and shouldn't appear to be one. It is much too early for one. So, no RSVPs. The prices shouldn't be included either. But, it would be best to include a brief outline of what you are doing and contact info to your travel agent. If your guests have questions, they would contact her/him or you.
Please remember that if you are marrying in an all-inclusive resort, you would be responsible for any fees your guests would incur to see your wedding if they are not guests at the resort.
