     invitations for destination wedding

We are having a destination wedding at the end of June and my fiance only wants close family and friends at the wedding. Do I send out invitations for only those attending and then separate ones for the reception we are having after we return home? How do I let people know we are having a destination wedding but would like them to come only to the reception?

Thanks

You'll have two invitations; one wedding invitation and one reception invitation. Send both invitations to those you want to invite to the wedding and reception and just the reception invitation to those you want to invite only to the reception.

Have a safe trip.

Agreed. Plus, you don't have to mention the wedding as your reception guests would know you will be married by the date of the reception.
