Hello, I am getting married in a few months down at an all inclusive resort in the Virgin Islands. I know that welcome baskets are a proper etiquette for out of town travelers but my problem is that not all guests are staying at the resort. A few people have rented privetly owned condos, etc. where I can't really necessarily provide a welcome basket upon their arrival. What do I do in that case? I thought about waiting until the reception dinner to pass out a favor bag to all guests at the same time. Does that work? Thanks.

Dear Sunnyface,
It is only obligatory to do 'something' special for your guests. So, this could be a welcome drink, basket, or the bag you suggest. Anything special is fine.
