Honeymoon Ideas for Vacation with Beaches and Adventure?
My fiance' and I are getting married next summer and we're just starting to toss around honeymoon ideas. We'd like to do something that can incorporate the sun and the sand with a little bit of adventure or sightseeing. We thought about Hawaii or Europe, maybe on a cruise but they seem to be pretty expensive and we're working on a pretty strict budget. Does anyone have any suggestions? We'd like to keep the trip under $3000??

Congratulations on the upcoming event!
To truly advise you on what fits into your budget and your idea of adventure and sand I would need to know:
1. your travel dates 2. departure city
Norwegian Cruise Lines has a very nice Hawaii product aboard Pride of America and Pride of Aloha. This cruise line also offer specials every Wednesday that can only be booked through travel agents. They give you discounts on select sailing dates plus on-board-credits based on the cabin you select.
Royal Caribbean has a good Europe product and they do specials that can only be booked through travel agents every Tuesday.
Although, I know Princess was just in the news for the problems they had on the new ship Crown over the weekend they have a spectacular Mediterranean and Greek Isles product. This cruise line offers really good early booking bonuses.
A good option for adventure, beach, and sun is also Costa Rica. You can get the best of both worlds with this trip. Great beaches, rain forest, fabulous sight seeing, natural springs for swimming and so much more.

Thank you so much for your suggestions! You've given us some good resources and ideas. Since you are the "honeymoon pro", I wanted to ask you what your thoughts on a European honeymoon would be? Although I'd love to do a cruise, my fiance' is not keen on the idea. So my question is, if we were to visit England and maybe France and one other country, would you suggest any particular beaches or waterfront cities where we could enjoy some fun in the sun? We'd be flying from Boston, spending hopefully 2 weeks in July. While we don't want to break the bank, this would really be our dream honeymoon. Is it do-able? Thanks again!

I hope you will find these answers helpful.
Since you are traveling from a major city that is fabulous. Gives you more choices on airfare and opens up pricing competition.
Europe is a great honeymoon destination. If you want to do England and France then maybe Spain or Italy will be a good add in
In Italy you can do beaches in Tuscany like Castiglion della Pescaia and Giglio Island or Noto in Sicily.
In Spain you can do El Cofete or Costa de la Luz. Actually the options are plenteous.
Going in another direction, you could look at doing Monaco which would offer you beaches, great scenery, gambling, wine tasting and so much more.
With any of these you would have an option of being independent travelers, on an escorted group or doing one that is a combination of both escorted and independent. The good thing about doing the tours that are a combination of escorted and independent is that you get to capitalize on the group discount, do as much or as little as you want. Transportation from country to country is also included in your price and usually some meals.

Thanks for your help! That sounds wonderful! I guess we've got some research to do, and we'll get in touch with a travel agent regarding the group and individual tours. We appreciate it!
Thanks again!
