My fiance and I are looking to do something a little different. We are located in upstate New York, and we do not want to go south to Florida, the caribbean, or anything like that. We were thinking of going into New England, perhaps to Maine. We are looking forward to seafood and relaxation, but is there much to do up there otherwise? We plan on getting married in the summer, so the weather should be nice, but what kind of activities might we find? Any advise is appreciated!

The East Coast provides a nice nontraditional honeymoon atmosphere.
What there is to do depends on what you like. Water activies are plentiful like fishing and rafting. Those that like to scour for a good bargain on antiques love this area.
A good resort recommendation is the White Elephant B&B. You get the privacy of a secluded honeymoon without being totally secluded and centrally located.
You can even take a day or two and do The Falls (either side US or Canada)
Also depending on whether you like complete independence or some socializing with a group several tour operator offer excursions from 1 - 5 days that you coudl incorporate.
If you are more lively there are several big events that happen during the summer in the Martha's Vineyard region.
Plan early as Summer is a busy season for this area only second to Fall Foliage time. Uneeda V. Arnold UNEEDA VACATION
