Could anyone give me opinions about whether to choose St. Lucia or Ocho Rios for our honeymoon destinations? They are both very beautiful, romantic, and secluded destinations, and that is why our decision is so hard. Any advice would be appreciated especially advice form experience.

They would both make fabulous honeymoons.
Your true decision really depends on what you consider a fabulous honeymoon.
Jamaica is a much larger island. You mentioned Ocho Rios in particular, so I will focus on a few in that area:
Couples Ocho Rios offers a very romantic vacation where you will not have to worry about running into families on your very romantic vacation. The resort also has a private island that you ferry out to (a very short ride) and this part of the resort is clothing optional.
Grand Lido also offers a wonderfully decadent honeymoon experience. This resort prices much higher than Couples, but it offers an experience unlike many resorts. The rooms are beautifully appointed. The service is SUPERB. It is parts of the SuperClubs chain.
If your budget is tight, you may consider Sunset Jamaica Grande. It used to be called Renaissance Jamaica Grande. The Sunset properties bought it out about 9 months ago and put quite a bit of money into it. Although it was fine before the renovation. I was one of the agents that went down for the soft open and it is much nicer. The biggest change is in the rooms and the beach areas. This is a well-priced resort, but keep in mind that it is not a couples resort so there will be families with children. It is also very popular with the convention crowd.
As for St. Lucia, this is one of my favorite islands. There is beautiful vegetation everywhere. The shopping in downtown Castries is fun. They have good bargains on silver, turquoise, and leather.
Rendezvous is a couple’s only spa resort. The grounds are very nice and the rooms richly appointed.
Anse Chastanet offers a very unique experience. The rooms there all have a bit of nature. One room has a tree incorporated into the wall. Some only have three walls because the other wall backs up to a mountain. Each room is unique. This property is not couples only though.
Le Sport is the sister property to Rendezvous. This one is also adults only. Just not couples only. It is nicknamed the body holiday. They have spa packages, romance packages, golf packages, and nature packages. This resort is very similar to Rendezvous but better suited for a really active couple.
In addition, there are Sandals properties in St. Lucia and Ocho Rios. A little more commercial than any of the resorts previously mentioned.
