This is a second wedding for both of us and we're not doing a majority of the traditional things, although we are dressing for the occassion. It will be a JoP ceremony and family style dinner all in the same hall. We're paying for everything ourselves and with 140 guests, I've tried to be as frugal as possible (my dress only cost $62).
My question is: Are you required to give a favor at the wedding? My fiance doesn't feel it is necessary and I'm torn as to whether to push for them (it's not that important to me). Wasn't it once consider a gift to be invited to someone's wedding?
Any thoughts?
