     House Borrowing Etiquette

I would like to borrow a friend's brothers house, which is gorgeous. We can compensate them, but I don't know how to ask to borrow their house. They would of course be invited to the wedding and reception and we would hire people to clean up afterwards. I have purchased nice paper and envelopes to write them so they don't have to answer on the spot. what else can I do, say or offer? Their home would be ideal!

Thanks for the advice!
Tara

Dear Tara,

It is best to ask them face to face, while stressing that you don't want an answer that day. To ask in writing isn't personal enough for this sort of favor.

You are offering plenty of compensation.

Best wishes,
