My g-ma is deceased and was dear to my heart; I have decided to wed on her birthday. She really loved elephants and I wanted to somehow have something that had an elephant on it; or something to do with elephants without making it look like some sort of theme. I didn't want to do any party favors with the idea. Any suggestions?

How lovely to want to honor your grandmother in this way.
You say you don't want favor ideas so do you want decorating or invitation ideas?
I have a bunch of suggestions on ways to include a deceased loved one into your ceremony.
Please give me some direection and I will try to help. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Well, I was just looking for different ideas. People have mentioned things to me such as an elephant ice sculpture or getting our center pieces etched with an elephant on the front. I am looking for something original that would just add a special touch but not be too over powering. Any ideas would be great. Thank you for your response!

Here are my suggestions:
1. elephant glass cake tops
2. unity candle customized with a picture of an elephant (if you're crafty you could do this yourself). This would be a nice idea sine she was your family member and it would be like including her in the ceremony.
3. elephants on your invitations.
4. votive candles etched or decopaged with elephant
5. elephant place card holders:Click the picture and contact Polly, tell her you were sent by Top Wedding Sites (Donna).
6. Candles shaped like elephant, wrapped in celophane and beautiful grosgrain ribbon for favors. Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
