A friend suggested I go to Staples to get the DIY save the date kit. If I liked the end result I could go further and do all the details that way (programs, invitations, etc). I found a cute style for a good price. The problem? When I run it through the printer I have at work (I don't have a printer at home) the silver border comes off in places. It looks raggedy. Not very good. I was wondering if anyone else has been through this, and if so, what did you do? It's too late to return them, and we don't have enough time to handwrite them.
Any guidance is (as always) appreciated! (PS I'm posting here because this is a money saving idea. If I'm in the wrong place *apologies* and please direct me there.)
thanks,

Is the printer at work a laser printer? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".

Hi TWQ, no, it's one of those clunky, industrial type printers. Probably just a run of the mill ink jet. Not very high tech. Do you think a lazer printer might make a difference?

YES! Perhaps you know someone with a laser printer or you might have to inquire at staples if they could do the printing. Unfortunately, this might eat up anything you might have otherwised saved on the printing by purchasing the do it yourself invitation kits.
Or, perhaps it's the kit you purchased? Top Wedding Questions Forum Moderator - "Write your sorrows in the sand, your blessings in stone".
