     cheap wedding idea

I want to get married at a church or park in late spring or early summer 2006. Would having a small wedding and then a outdoor picnic reception be ok? I would have food catered, volleyball, horse shoes, and other outdoor activities. I dont want to wear my dress, or have anyone wearing nice clothes. Should I have the wedding and the picnic on different days?

Dear MandyLeigh,

Not cheap just informal. Why not check out parks that offer pavillions or gazebo where the ceremony can take place and then change into casual clothing after the ceremony. Minimize the attendants to keep costs down and have them dress more casually. Females in knee length and males in suit or slacks and jacket.

You should chose a less formal invitation and set the time for afternoon rather than evening and this will tell your guests that your wedding is casual.
