     help my brother

I am trying to help my brother out for his wedding. They are inviting 300 people but don't want to spend over $20,000. They also want it somewhere where they can have the wedding and the reception at the same time. We live in California(Bay Area and Northern Cali) Do you have any ideas?

Dear Help,

Check all of the community centers near you. In Davis, not too far from you, we have a Veteran's Center building also that is used for functions. My husband and I had ours there and it was awesome. It even had a kitchen that we could rent that was very reasonable.

A good place to start would be to check out a parks and recreation guide to find out where they hold all of their classes. Those buildings often have large rooms which can be rented out inexpensively.

Universities also have large rooms for rent also.

Best wishes,
