I want to do party favors but I don't want to spend alot of money because I'm on a budget also I was told by a friend that each bridesmaid must have something as a thankyou or a present for being a bridesmaids is this true ? Need to know please because all these extra gifts I am purchasing for everyone else will seem to be adding up soon.

It is tradition that the wedding couple gives the bridal party a gift. We assume these people are dear friends and/or family and have done a lot to support you and your relationship while planning for the big day so you'll want to show them your appreciation. These gifts do not have to be expensive; but a small token of your esteem to commemorate the special occassion.
If you have any craft talents (knitting, sewing, etc.) perhpas you could give a handmade keepsake such as a special framed invitation or photo album.
