I am Catholic and he is Jewish. I would like to get married in a church. Is that possible with a rabbi present? His family is Conservative but he is not and we plan to raise the children Catholic. Is it possible to have his family's rabbi at the ceremony alongside a priest? Also, on what nights can we get married? Is Saturday not allowed?

Most Conservative Rabbis will not marry interfaith couples, especially in a church. However, if you e-mail me directly, I will recommend one or two rabbis in New York (they travel) who would be happy to give a blessing in a church, do certain rituals and even co-officiate if the priest allows it.

My book, dedicated to interfaith weddings, will show you your options. It offers tender counsel for interfaith couples with all the various scenarios that arise. It will also show you the sensitivities.

Blessings and Shalom!
