My fiance is Methodist [baptised but not confirmed] and I am Roman Catholic [baptised, confirmed]. Should we have a full mass with Eucharist or just the ceremony while in the Catholic Church? I don't want any of our guests to feel uncomfortable.

We are an interchurch couple, Catholic and Protestant, so we can appreciate the sensitive nature of your question. A full Catholic mass will be expected by the Catholic members attending your wedding. However, as you point out, the non-Catholic attendees (including your husband-to-be) may feel uncomfortable at being excluded from the Eucharist. There are several ways, such as lighting a candle together, that will show your unity as a couple, even though you cannot receive the Eucharist together. Please discuss this with your priest.
We solved this by having both our minister and priest perform portions of the wedding ceremony. We chose not to have a full mass, but you will need to make your own decision together about this. Our guests recognized the ceremony was a bit different because of the interchurch emphasis, but all felt welcome.

Thank you so much for your words of wisdom. Also, do you think that the fact that we will be living together for a year before the wedding will effect the Pastor's decision to marry us? We won't be living together yet when we first meet with him (later this month) but we will be come September). Is this a problem? Thank you!
