     Catholic Wedding/Destination Wedding Question?

I want to have a destination wedding but it is very important to my family that I do a traditional catholic church ceremony as well. My fiance is lutheran and is not planning to convert. Is it possible to have a catholic church ceremony after being married on a destination wedding or is this not acceptable?

Once you're married, you're married and cannot be married again. If you cannot get a priest to marry you in a Catholic church at your destination then you can speak to your local priest about doing a blessing of the marriage later on.

Note that the marriage blessing is not treated as a wedding. It will most likely be a small service that is done in your church, maybe even at a regular Sunday mass; something like a baptism.
