     Catholic marriage question

My fiance's family are adamant Catholics and I have the feeling that they will not accept the idea of our being wed any other way but in the Catholic church. I too was raised Catholic but very leniently. I received First Communion but was never reconciled or confirmed. Am I still able to marry as a Catholic?

Since you were baptized Catholic, the Church recognizes you as a member; however you may need to be confirmed.

Please speak to a priest. He will be able to answer your questions and point you in the right direction so you and your future spouse can have a wedding with the full blessings of the Catholic Church, which will certainly put you in good favor with your future in-laws! Smile

God bless you.
