     Catholic wedding outside the church

We are getting married soon and would like a friend of the family to perform the ceremony. He is a catholic priest. My fiancee was never married but I have been divorced for almost 10 years. We have a 5 year old daughter together. We were wondering if a catholic priest could marry us outside the church. He is well liked by our family and we are hoping he can do the ceremony. Thanx.

Catholic priests need a special dispensation from the church to perform weddings outside of the church. But, your bigger issue is that, to be married in the catholic church, you'll have to apply and receive an annulment. Please speak to your priest about all fo this.
