Help! This weekend we are meeting with the minister for the first time. What kind of questions should I be asking? Any suggestions?

That depends on what you are meeting about...
Are you meeting for the ceremony? You can ask him to see the readings, vows, prayers and blessings. You can ask her what rituals will be included? How long is the ceremony? Does she have any restrictions? Is there any flexibility of choice? He or she may even give you a sample ceremony with choices. If you want to have family members read or sing, speak to him about that. If you want to have family who has passed away remembered and honored, speak to her about that. If you want other family members or friends honored or included, ask. If you have any special ideas, present them (i.e. writing your own vows or having an unique procession). If you want your ceremony more personal, you might ask him how you can achieve that.
If you are meeting for pre-marital counseling, he/she will present you with questions. Just answer has honestly as possible.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. Why are you meeting with your Minister - to select a Minister or talk further about the ceremony.
If you're in the process of selecting a Minister or Celebrant, here are some important questions to consider:
10 Top Things To Consider When Selecting a Minister or Celebrant For Your Wedding or Vow Renewal Ceremony
1. Minister's/Celebrant's Background
Do you like the Minister/Celebrant? Does their background and experience resonate with you? Do you like their speaking voice? Are you energized by their enthusiasm and commitment to your ceremony? Is the Minister/Celebrant open to your ideas and will they co-create the ceremony with you?
2. Religious/Spiritual Issues
Will the Minister/Celebrant represent couples who are from different religious, spiritual and/or cultural backgrounds (if this is a factor)?
3. Writing and Co-Creating the Ceremony
How will your ceremony be created and written? Are you confident in the skills of your chosen Minister/ Celebrant to deliver your ceremony? Does the Minister/Celebrant have sample ceremonies/vows for your review?
4. Rehearsal
Will your Minister/Celebrant be available for a rehearsal? (if you wish)
5. Availability Before Your Ceremony
Is the Minister/Celebrant available before your ceremony for questions and advice?
6. Will The Minister/Celebrant Have An Assistant On-Site?
Does the CMinister/Celebrant bring an Assistant to the Ceremony? Does the Minister/Celebrant have an alternative available in case of unexpected/unforseen illness or emergency?
7. Coming and Going
How early will your Minister/Celebrant arrive at your ceremony and how long will they stay afterwards?
8. Travel
Will the Minister/Celebrant travel to your wedding ceremony site?
9. Fees/Paperwork
What will the Minister/Celebrant charge for the ceremony and exactly what does this include?
10. References
For your peace of mind, request references from the prospective Minister/Celebrant, if appropriate Annemarie Juhlian, Wedding Officiant & Minister
