     The Unity Candles?

I was wondering in the roman catholic church if they supply your unity candles or if you must purchase them yourself? I also notice many colors and such I wondered about this because I notice in the faith they usually only have white many other catholic married couples have said lately they do not lite the unity candle this is not an option for me I would like to lite the unity candle should I talk to my priest first of all? And second of all does anyone know if they must be purchased in white , or does the church supply unity candles? I notice there seems to be alot of rules in the church especially when the candles never are colored or ornate, I don't want to do the wrong thing here. Thanks for any help on this one.

As you have suggested, please check with your local parish priest. He will be able to tell you what is expected at your church while guiding you through the whole ceremony process.

If you ned to purchase a unity candle we recommend:

The Printed Candle Company

Many parishes/priests do NOT allow the use of a Unity Candle. It is not a part of the Sacrament. I would ask before you purchase one.

The Unity Candle was created by Hallmark to add to a ceremony. It later became the "religious" symbol by people adding the "readings" and such that are used with it now.

If your priest says "No" and you are really wanting to use one then maybe you could use it at the reception...

Have a blessed Wedding!
