10th Anniversary - Vow renewal OK? Surprise?

Couple questions for you:

1) 10 yr vow renewal is OK?

2) I was thinking of a small, little ceremony at our church with just some family and close friends with a slide show, intimate and fun music, our 2 boys (3 and 5) involved to some degree........its 3 months from now and I wanted to surprise my wife with this.......but not sure if I should surprise her with something as serious as this, what do you think?

I think she would like it........and the response to the surprise would be fun to see.

Afterward, I was thinking of inviting everyone over to our house for an informal, casual gathering--nothing extravagant which my wife would probably prefer--kids and all.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Any are appreciated.

All of this seems great to me -- all but the element of surprise. A vow renewal is a highly personal event and the two of you should not only plan the event together but discuss how and IF you even want to do this. I'd hate for YOU to be the one surprised. I'm not trying to be a downer here -- and you know your wife better than I -- however she may not be on board with this idea. But even if she were -- I stil think it's best for the two of you to plan together.
